Many thought that the Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games were too commercial.  It is true that corporate sponsors made their presence known throughout the area.  However, the Atlanta Olympic Committee worked without taxpayer money.    All of the money came from ticket sales, television rights, and corporate sponsorships.  I am happy to report that the Atlanta Games finished in the black, and the metropolitan area inherited some fabulous facilities.  Well done ACOG!
